ANALYSIS: They're far from the worst of the worst, but Cent. Michigan should not be a terribly frightening opponent for most clubs. Carrying a record of 16-16, they are currently rated #244 overall (out of 351) in All-Play Percentage this season. They are also ranked by this site as the #10 team (out of 12) in the MAC (average ranking 176.6).
Utilizing a feverish pace (the eighth-fastest in D1), Cent. Michigan succeeds primarily through their offense. They are ranked 83rd in offensive efficiency and score in excess of 106 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. Cent. Michigan lives and dies by the three-ball and will launch from long-distance early and often. The team ranks third in ratio of three-point attempts to total field goal attempts. When it comes to actually making their three-point attempts, the squad shoots a so-so 35.8% from beyond the arc vs. AO. Cent. Michigan is also deadly accurate at the free throw line.
