ANALYSIS: Not one of the better ball-clubs in college basketball, Binghamton should be a fairly easy win for most capable opponents. Their record this season is 4-14, and the club is ranked 296th overall (out of 357) in Haslametrics' most recent ratings. They are also ranked by this site as the #9 team (out of 10) in the America East (average ranking 231.7).
Binghamton does not provide much of a challenge on defense. They are ranked at #316 in efficiency on that end of the court and give up about 108 points for every 100 possessions vs. AO. Binghamton does an extremely poor job to deny the opposition behind the arc. They rank seventh from the bottom nationally in defensive three-point percentage, allowing AO to make 39.0% of their attempts from afar. Binghamton also allows the opposition to get off far too many shots from the floor. The team is ranked 341st in the nation in defensive field goal attempt rate with a rating of 87.29 vs. AO.
Though they rate better on offense than they do on defense, Binghamton still isn't one of the more capable offensive teams in college hoops. Scoring roughly 95 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #260 in the nation in offensive efficiency. Binghamton does an extremely poor job drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line. With a free throw attempt rate of just 19.99 vs. AO, they are 338th in the overall rankings for that category. Binghamton also isn't performing well from the free throw line this season. Converting just 66.0% of their attempts, the squad is ranked #307 overall in free throw percentage.
Binghamton has been playing much better basketball as of late and is presently ranked 16th in positive momentum because of it. Binghamton has also been one of the most erratic teams in college basketball this year (currently ranked 340th overall in consistency), which makes the outcomes of their future games far more difficult to predict. When playing on the road, Binghamton has played their best basketball this season. The team is currently ranked second in the country in the away-from-home metric our site tracks.
Projections are based on present-day ratings. Stars indicate games played at a neutral location. Game efficiencies only account for data before a contest has gone analytically final and are adjusted to extract home-court advantage.
CURIOUS TRENDS:

When facing teams that typically allow more than a fair share of breakaway opportunities, Binghamton often performs worse than normal. Binghamton is more efficient than usual 25% of the time when facing teams that have a potential point rate allowed off steals vs. AO greater than 10.98. In their other contests, Binghamton performs better than the norm 80% of the time.
