ANALYSIS: Bethune-Cookman is one of the absolute worst teams in Division I basketball this year. They are ranked #342 (out of 351) in the most recent Haslametrics ratings and have a record of 10-22. They are also ranked by this site as the #11 team (out of 13) in the MEAC (average ranking 318.9). With a strength-of-schedule rating of 0.244 (which ranks seventh from the bottom in the nation), Bethune-Cookman has faced some of the easiest opponents in all of college basketball.
Offense comes as a real struggle to Bethune-Cookman this year. The team is rated 334th in offensive efficiency and scores fewer than 90 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. Bethune-Cookman is a lousy shooting team, incapable of converting efficiently from anyplace on the floor and ranking in the bottom-50 in each of our four most noteworthy field goal shooting categories.
