ANALYSIS:
Fair. Dickinson is not one of the better teams in Division I this year. Their record this season is 9-15, and the club is ranked 286th overall (out of 357) in Haslametrics' most recent ratings. Of the 10 schools in the NEC (average ranking 266.2), they're currently ranked as our #7 team in the conference.

Defense is not exactly a strength for Fair. Dickinson this year. The team is ranked 325th in defensive efficiency and allows more than 109 points for every 100 possessions vs. AO. Fair. Dickinson allows opposing teams far too many easy chances from the floor, ranking in the bottom-50 in three of the four main defensive field goal shooting categories. They are exceptionally deficient defending inside the three-point line, allowing AO to make good on 44.2% of their mid-range jumpers (336th in the nation), 64.0% of their near-proximity chances (319th), and 48.1% of their total shots from the field (334th). If Fair. Dickinson does have a bright spot on defense, it would have to be their willingness to take risks in order to score fast points off of steals. The team has a solid rating of 14.55 in potential points scored off of steals vs. AO, which ranks 33rd-best in college basketball.

Even though the team ranks considerably higher in offensive efficiency, Fair. Dickinson isn't a powerhouse on that end of the floor either. Scoring roughly 98 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #191 in the nation in offensive efficiency. Fair. Dickinson will have a really tough time winning games when taking into consideration their shooting percentage near the basket. The team is ranked 342nd in near-proximity field goal percentage, making only 51.6% of their attempts from up-close vs. AO. If Fair. Dickinson does have a strength offensively, it would have to be the team's ability to sink threes. The squad converts 37.2% of their three-point attempts vs. AO, which ranks 38th in the nation.
