Colorado State is an outstanding shooting team, capable of converting from a variety of locations on the floor and ranking in the top-50 in each of our four most noteworthy field goal categories. Though they're most successful shooting the mid-range jumper (43.1% vs. AO, 14th in the country), the team also makes 37.3% of their three-pointers (28th), 65.9% of their near-proximity chances (18th), and 48.1% of their total shots from the field (16th) vs. AO. Colorado State is also deadly accurate at the free throw line. Making 77.0% of their attempts from the stripe, they are ranked 21st nationally in free throw percentage. Colorado State plays at roughly the same level defensively as they do offensively. The team ranks 65th nationally in defensive efficiency, allowing about 94 points every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. Colorado State does a pretty solid job avoiding careless fouls and minimizing opponents' opportunities from the free throw line. With a defensive free throw attempt rate of 20.02 vs. AO, they are currently rated 38th in the country in that category. Colorado State is also one of the better teams when it comes to not allowing opponents to convert scoring chances off of offensive rebounds. The squad allows AO to convert only 3.7% of all second-chance opportunities (ranked 48th in the NCAA).
Projections are based on present-day ratings. Stars indicate games played at a neutral location. Game efficiencies only account for data before a contest has gone analytically final and are adjusted to extract home-court advantage.
