ANALYSIS:
Not one of the better ball-clubs in college basketball, San Jose State should be a fairly easy win for most capable opponents. Carrying a record of 8-23, they are currently rated #280 overall (out of 358) in All-Play Percentage this season. Of the 11 schools in the MWC (average ranking 105.7), they're currently ranked as the worst team in the conference.

San Jose State does not provide much of a challenge on defense. They are ranked at #295 in efficiency on that end of the court and give up about 107 points for every 100 possessions vs. AO. San Jose State allows the opposition to get off far too many shots from the floor. The team is ranked 343rd in the nation in defensive field goal attempt rate with a rating of 88.68 vs. AO. San Jose State also gives up far too many offensive rebounds and second chances to their opponents. The club has a rating of 15.97 vs. AO in potential points allowed off of second chances (337th nationally).

San Jose State doesn't rate much better on offense than they do on defense. Scoring roughly 97 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #246 in the nation in offensive efficiency. San Jose State does an extremely poor job drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line. With a free throw attempt rate of just 18.72 vs. AO, they are sixth from the bottom in the overall rankings for that category. San Jose State is also not one of the better teams when it comes to sinking foul shots. Converting just 66.3% of their attempts, the squad is ranked #331 overall in free throw percentage.

San Jose State has been one of the more erratic teams in NCAA basketball this year (presently ranked 313th in the country in consistency), which makes forecasting the outcomes of their upcoming games tougher than most. When playing on the road, San Jose State has played their best basketball this season. The team is currently ranked 19th in the country in the away-from-home metric our site tracks.
