ANALYSIS:
As an average to slightly above-average foe, Winthrop should probably not be discounted by opponents this year. Haslametrics has them ranked 168th overall (out of 353) in All-Play Percentage, and the team holds a record of 18-12. Of the 11 schools in the Big South (average ranking 213.3), they're currently ranked as our #3 team in the conference.

With a very up-tempo style of play (the 13th-fastest pace in D1), Winthrop will likely rely on their offense more than anything else to win games. The team is ranked 103rd in offensive efficiency and scores more than 106 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. Winthrop lives and dies by the three-ball and will launch from long-distance early and often. The team ranks fifth in ratio of three-point attempts to total field goal attempts.
