ANALYSIS: They may not cause sleepless nights for opponents, but William & Mary, as a slightly above-average team, cannot be totally ignored. Ranked 115th overall (out of 351) in our most recent ratings, they presently have a record of 20-13. Of the 10 schools in the Colonial (average ranking 207.0), they're currently ranked as our #2 team in the conference.
William & Mary has a reasonably potent offensive attack. Occupying the #43 slot in our offensive efficiency rankings, they will score about 109 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. William & Mary lives and dies by the three-ball and will launch from long-distance early and often. The team ranks 15th in ratio of three-point attempts to total field goal attempts. And they'll absolutely kill you if you let them shoot from behind the arc. The squad makes 39.2% of its attempts from long-distance vs. AO, 17th-best in the nation. William & Mary is also one of the best field goal shooting teams that opposing defenses will have the displeasure of facing this season.
