ANALYSIS:
A top-25 caliber adversary, BYU will likely be a stiff test for any team in Division I. They have a record of 24-8 and are ranked 22nd overall (out of 353) in the latest Haslametrics ratings. Of the 10 schools in the WCC (average ranking 124.1), they're currently ranked as our #2 team in the conference.

BYU is one of the very most competent offensive teams in the country. Ranked tenth in offensive efficiency, they'll rack up more than 111 points every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. BYU is one of the most lethal teams in the country when it comes to shooting the basketball, ranking in the top-25 in each of our four major field goal categories. The long-ball may be their strength (41.8% from three vs. AO, first in the nation), but the team also makes 68.9% of their near-proximity shots (fourth), 42.2% of their mid-range chances (15th), and 49.7% of their total shots from the field (third) vs. AO. BYU will also likely shoot a fair share of three-pointers each contest. The team ranks 66th in ratio of three-point attempts to total field goal attempts. If BYU does have a glaring weakness offensively, it would have to be the team's difficulties obtaining second-chance opportunities from offensive rebounds.
