ANALYSIS:
If you're looking for a squad in the bottom quartile of all Division I basketball teams this year, Southern Miss likely fits the bill. Their record this season is 9-22, and the club is ranked 326th overall (out of 351) in Haslametrics' most recent ratings. Of the 14 schools in Conference USA (average ranking 202.4), they're currently ranked as the worst team in the conference.

Southern Miss has a very tough time coming by points on offense. Scoring about 89 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are woefully ranked #334 in offensive efficiency. Southern Miss is one of the least accurate teams when shooting from long-distance. Southern Miss has been playing much better basketball as of late and is presently ranked 18th in positive momentum because of it.
