ANALYSIS:
As one of the worst teams in NCAA basketball, NC A&T should be a pushover for the average-to-good squads in Division I. Carrying a record of 10-22, they are currently rated #343 overall (out of 351) in All-Play Percentage this season. Of the 13 schools in the MEAC (average ranking 310.7), they're currently ranked as our #11 team in the conference. With a strength-of-schedule rating of 0.285 (which ranks sixth from the bottom nationally), NC A&T has had one of the cushiest slates in all of college basketball.

NC A&T has a very sieve-like defense that gives up points way too easily. The team is ranked 340th in efficiency on that end of the court and gives up more than 113 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. NC A&T fouls far too much and sends the opposition to the line way too often. With a defensive free throw attempt rate of 35.80 vs. AO, the squad is ranked #345 in the country in that category. NC A&T also allows opposing teams far too many easy chances from the floor, ranking in the bottom-50 in three of the four main defensive field goal shooting categories. They are exceptionally deficient defending inside the three-point line, allowing AO to make good on 39.3% of their mid-range jumpers (312th in the nation), 65.3% of their near-proximity chances (329th), and 47.2% of their total shots from the field (311th).

NC A&T doesn't rate much better on offense than they do on defense. Scoring roughly 92 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #321 in the nation in offensive efficiency. NC A&T has a hard time converting field goals attempts on offense. The team is rated #322 in the country in field goal percentage, making good on a meager 39.5% of their attempts vs. AO. NC A&T also needs improvement when it comes to draining the mid-range shot. The team is ranked 306th in field goal percentage from that distance, making only 32.5% of their mid-range attempts vs. AO.

When playing on the road, NC A&T performs somewhat worse than they normally do on their home court. The club is nationally ranked 326th in our site's away-from-home metric.

CURIOUS TRENDS:

	NC A&T is typically better vs. teams that allow more chances at the line. Against foes that have a defensive free throw attempt rate vs. AO greater than 31.00, NC A&T performs above their norm 100% of the time. Against the remaining opposition, the team performs above average 36% of the time.
	When facing teams that allow a greater number of field goal opportunities, NC A&T often performs worse than normal.
