ANALYSIS:
Not one of the better ball-clubs in college basketball, Morgan State should be a fairly easy win for most capable opponents. Their record this season is 14-16, and the club is ranked 325th overall (out of 351) in Haslametrics' most recent ratings. They are also ranked by this site as the #6 team (out of 13) in the MEAC (average ranking 319.3). With a strength-of-schedule rating of 0.224 (which ranks second from the bottom in the nation), Morgan State has faced some of the easiest opponents in all of college basketball.

Morgan State has a very tough time coming by points on offense. Scoring about 89 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are woefully ranked #339 in offensive efficiency. Morgan State is a lousy shooting team, incapable of converting efficiently from anyplace on the floor and ranking in the bottom-50 in each of our four most noteworthy field goal shooting categories. They make just 28.4% of their three-pointers (ranking sixth from the bottom nationally), 32.7% of their mid-range attempts (321st), 48.7% of their near-proximity chances (third from the bottom), and 36.8% of their total shots from the field (fourth from the bottom) vs. AO. Morgan State also tends to be very careless with the ball and allows far too many breakaway opportunities off of their own turnovers. The team's rating for potential breakaway points allowed off of steals vs. AO is 14.09, which ranks ninth from the bottom in D1.

Though they rate better on defense than they do on offense, Morgan State still isn't one of the more capable defensive teams in college hoops. Allowing roughly 106 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #242 in the nation in defensive efficiency. Morgan State is one of the very worst teams in the game when it comes to preventing opponents from scoring off of offensive rebounds. The team allows AO to convert 9.6% of all second-chance opportunities (tenth from the bottom nationally), and with a rating of 16.67, they're 303rd in potential points surrendered off of the offensive boards as well. Morgan State also commits too many fouls, which leads to plentiful free throw attempts for the opposition. With a defensive free throw attempt rate of 32.19 vs. AO, the squad is ranked #326 in the country in that category. If Morgan State does have a bright spot on defense, it would have to be their ability to hinder opponents from sinking threes. AO will convert only 31.7% of their three-point attempts, and the team ranks 25th-best in the NCAA in that category because of it.

On the road, Morgan State performs noticeably worse than they do at home. The team is currently ranked 329th in the country in the away-from-home metric we track.

	When playing teams that allow more chances at the line, Morgan State usually performs better than average.
