ANALYSIS:
Miss. Valley St. is a poor basketball team, arguably one of the very worst in all of college hoops. Ranked ninth from the bottom overall (out of 351) in our most recent ratings, they presently have a record of 7-25. They are also ranked by this site as the #7 team (out of 10) in the SWAC (average ranking 323.5).

Miss. Valley St. has one of the most inept defenses in the NCAA. Allowing about 117 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they're ranked way down at #349 in defensive efficiency. Miss. Valley St. is the perfect antedote if the opposition is poisoned by bad shooting. This team gives up easy baskets like crazy no matter where the opposition shoots. They embarrassingly rank in the bottom-25 in each of the four major defensive field goal shooting categories. They allow AO to make 41.2% of their three-pointers (second-worst in the nation), 41.7% of their mid-range jumpers (tenth-worst), 68.0% of their near-proximity chances (14th-worst), and 51.2% of their total shots from the field (third-worst).
