ANALYSIS:
Lehigh presently has one of the below-average teams in college basketball. Carrying a record of 11-21, they are currently rated #295 overall (out of 353) in All-Play Percentage this season. Of the 10 schools in the Patriot League (average ranking 253.8), they're currently ranked as our #9 team in the conference.

Lehigh will certainly not be one of the stingier defenses opponents will encounter. Allowing more than 105 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked down at #301 in defensive efficiency. Lehigh performs really badly when attempting to stop opponents from making mid-range jumpers. The squad is ranked seventh from the bottom nationally in defensive mid-range field goal percentage, allowing AO to make good on 45.2% of their attempts from those in-between spots on the floor. Lehigh is also extremely underskilled to force steals that turn into quick and easy points. They're ranked #338 in potential points off of breakaway steals with a rating of only 7.73 vs. AO.

Lehigh doesn't rate much better on offense than they do on defense. Scoring roughly 94 points for every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO, they are ranked #263 in the nation in offensive efficiency. Lehigh has some difficulty protecting the ball efficiently when in possession, which leads to some quick and easy baskets for the opposition. The team's rating for potential breakaway points allowed off of steals vs. AO is 13.56, which ranks 327th in D1. Lehigh also won't provide opponents much of a scare with their shooting percentage from the inside. The team is ranked 314th in near-proximity field goal percentage, making only 53.6% of their attempts from up-close vs. AO. If Lehigh does have a strength offensively, it would have to be the team's ability to successfully hit from mid-range locations on the court. The team makes 43.3% of their in-between field goal attempts vs. AO, which ranks fifth in the NCAA.

Lehigh has been playing better basketball in their most recent outings, as evidenced by the team's #43 ranking in positive momentum.
SORTABLE SCHEDULE / RESULTS:
Projections are based on present-day ratings. Stars indicate games played at a neutral location.
Game efficiencies only account for data before a contest has gone analytically final and are adjusted to extract home-court advantage.
CURIOUS TRENDS:
Lehigh is typically better vs. teams that convert more frequently off of offensive rebounds. Against foes that have an offensive second-chance conversion percentage vs. AO greater than 4.52%, Lehigh performs above their norm 90% of the time. Against the remaining opposition, the team performs above average 40% of the time.
When facing teams that find ways to get to the free throw line, Lehigh often performs better than normal. Lehigh is more efficient than usual 74% of the time when facing teams that have an offensive free throw attempt rate vs. AO greater than 21.58. In their other contests, Lehigh performs better than the norm 27% of the time.
Lehigh does better vs. clubs that shoot the ball well from the field. When playing squads that have an offensive field goal percentage vs. AO greater than 44.16%, Lehigh performs above average 83% of the time. Against all other opponents, the team performs better than the norm 39% of the time.
