ANALYSIS:
If you see E. Michigan on the schedule, you will likely get one of the average to below-average teams in college hoops. Carrying a record of 16-16, they are currently rated #198 overall (out of 353) in All-Play Percentage this season. They are also ranked by this site as the #9 team (out of 12) in the MAC (average ranking 166.6).

E. Michigan will mainly try to find success through their defense. They are ranked 86th in defensive efficiency and allow fewer than 96 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. E. Michigan will look to secure a relatively healthy number of easy scoring opportunities off of steals. They're ranked 55th in potential points off of breakaway steals vs. AO with a rating of 13.47. E. Michigan has also been fairly decent in preventing teams from draining shots from between the three-point stripe and the low post. They're ranked 56th in Division I in defensive mid-range field goal percentage, allowing AO to make good on only 34.0% of their attempts from that distance.

Unfortunately, E. Michigan is not even remotely close to being as good on offense as they are on defense. The team is ranked 309th in offensive efficiency, scoring about 91 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. E. Michigan happens to be one of the very worst in the game when it comes to maximizing the number of shot attempts they get off from the floor. The team is nationally ranked sixth from the bottom in offensive field goal attempt rate with a rating of only 75.67 vs. AO. E. Michigan also has had serious struggles making their free throws this year. Converting just 62.5% of their attempts, the squad is ranked #344 overall in free throw percentage. E. Michigan is lastly one of the least accurate teams when shooting from long-distance. They are ranked tenth from the bottom in three-point field goal percentage nationally and make just 28.3% of their attempts from long vs. AO. If E. Michigan does have a strength offensively, it would have to be the team's ability to get to the free throw line. The squad has a free throw attempt rate of 30.36 vs. AO, which ranks 22nd in the country.

E. Michigan has been playing some of their worst basketball of the season as of late, and they're presently ranked 333rd in positive momentum because of it. E. Michigan has also been one of the most erratic teams in college basketball this year (currently ranked 341st overall in consistency), which makes the outcomes of their future games far more difficult to predict.

Michigan performs better than the norm 35% of the time.

Michigan performs above average 63% of the time. Against all other opponents, the team performs better than the norm 25% of the time.
