ANALYSIS:
Despite what their win percentage might indicate, Missouri is a good team that can cause more than enough trouble for most opponents. They are ranked #77 (out of 353) in the most recent Haslametrics ratings and have a record of 15-16. They are also ranked by this site as the #10 team (out of 14) in the SEC (average ranking 67.6).

Missouri will mainly try to find success through their defense. They are ranked 51st in defensive efficiency and allow fewer than 93 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. Missouri has extremely pesky defenders that ceaselessly attempt to deny opponents ample opportunity to shoot. The club is ranked 11th in Division I in defensive field goal attempt rate with a rating of 75.40 vs. AO. Missouri has also done a very good job to prevent opponents from draining threes this year. They rank 34th in the NCAA in defensive three-point percentage, allowing AO to make just 30.6% of their attempts from afar. If Missouri does exhibit a noticeable weakness on the defensive end of the floor, it'd likely be the team's tendency to send opponents to the line too much by fouling. The squad has a rating of 31.01 in defensive free throw attempt rate vs. AO, which ranks 23rd-worst in the country.

Missouri is also a fairly decent team on the offensive end of the court. The team ranks 124th nationally in offensive efficiency, scoring about 102 points every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. Missouri is deadly accurate at the free throw line. Making 78.9% of their attempts from the stripe, they are ranked tenth nationally in free throw percentage. Moreover, they get ample opportunity to beat you from the line, as the ball-club falls in the top-100 in free throw attempt rate with a rating of 27.62 vs. AO. Missouri has also established itself as a team that cleans the offensive glass quite well. Against AO, the squad has a rating of 16.67 in potential points scored off of second chances (ranked 26th in the NCAA), and they convert 7.0% of their second-chance opportunities (ranked 28th) as well. If Missouri does have a weakness offensively, it would have to be the team's ability (or lack thereof) to sink threes. The squad converts just 30.9% of their three-point attempts vs. AO, which ranks 50th-worst in the nation.

On the road, Missouri performs noticeably worse than they do at home. The team is currently ranked 340th in the country in the away-from-home metric we track.
SORTABLE SCHEDULE / RESULTS:
Projections are based on present-day ratings. Stars indicate games played at a neutral location.
Game efficiencies only account for data before a contest has gone analytically final and are adjusted to extract home-court advantage.
CURIOUS TRENDS:
When playing teams that do a nice job converting inside the paint, Missouri usually performs worse than average. Missouri is more efficient than normal 20% of the time when facing clubs that have an offensive near-proximity field goal percentage vs. AO greater than 62.59%. In all other contests, Missouri performs better than average 63% of the time.
Missouri is typically better vs. teams that aren't terribly skilled defensively. Against foes that have a defensive efficiency rating vs. AO greater than 96.18, Missouri performs above their norm 70% of the time. Against the remaining opposition, the team performs above average 29% of the time.
When facing teams that find ways to get to the free throw line, Missouri often performs worse than normal. Missouri is more efficient than usual 18% of the time when facing teams that have an offensive free throw attempt rate vs. AO greater than 28.85. In their other contests, Missouri performs better than the norm 55% of the time.
