They have a record of 27-8 and are ranked 36th overall (out of 358) in the latest Haslametrics ratings. They are also ranked by this site as the #3 team (out of 11) in the MWC (average ranking 105.7).

Boise State will suffocate most opponents with its stifling defense. Allowing roughly 90 points for every 100 possessions vs. AO, this squad is rated #20 in defensive efficiency. Boise State is a superior unit when it comes to preventing opponents from getting to the foul line. With a defensive free throw attempt rate of 18.51 vs. AO, they are currently rated 14th in the country in that category. Boise State is also a solid rebounding team that will deny the opposition chances to score off of offensive rebounds. They have a rating of 10.55 vs. AO in potential points allowed off of second chances (ranked 33rd in the country).

Boise State is also a fairly decent team on the offensive end of the court. The team ranks 81st nationally in offensive efficiency, scoring about 106 points every 100 trips upcourt vs. AO. Boise State allows very few breakaway opportunities for the opposition, which typically translates to fewer turnovers. The team's rating vs. AO for potential breakaway points allowed off of steals is 8.53, which ranks #17 in the country. Boise State also does a really good job to acquire opportunities from the free throw line. With a free throw attempt rate of 28.07 vs. AO, they are ranked 30th in the nation at getting to the charity stripe. Unfortunately, the team struggles mightily from the line, making only 64.6% of their attempts (11th-worst in the nation).
