ANALYSIS: While this site doesn't quite consider them to be in the national title hunt, Georgia Tech has the potential to be a formidable opponent for many in Division I. They have a record of 17-9 and are ranked 37th overall (out of 357) in the latest Haslametrics ratings. Of the 15 schools in the ACC (average ranking 71.7), they're currently ranked as our #5 team in the conference.
Georgia Tech is undoubtedly one of the best in the business on offense. The team is rated 22nd in offensive efficiency, scoring more than 111 points every 100 possessions vs. AO. Georgia Tech is one of the nation's most effective teams finishing close to the iron. The team is ranked second in the country in near-proximity field goal percentage, making approximately 71.3% of their attempts from up-close vs. AO.
